This year's Art Basel Miami Beach fair will once again be designed by Tom Postma Design, an Amsterdam-based international architecture and design firm that specializes in cultural institutions, art and design related exhibitions, and high-end interior and shop designs.

Tom Postma began his career as an artist and sculptor in the Netherlands, but turned to design and architecture in 1998. He is renowned for his long-standing designs for venerable art fairs, such as TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair) in Maastricht, the Netherlands, Art Basel Miami Beach, USA, Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland, Design Miami Basel, Switzerland, HIGHLIGHTS - International Art Fair Munich, and the World Watch and Jewellery Show Baselworld, halls 3, 4, and 6, Basel Switzerland.

Among his other accomplishments are the design of "The Jordan National Gallery," Ammann, Jordan, a library and public area for publishing company South Development in Skhirat, Morocco, a cultural hotel with artist residence and sculpture park in Salvador, Brazil, and various private residences in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Postma has designed many exhibitions in prominent museums and renowned biennials such as the Venice Biennale, (2001 and 2003), and the Dakar Biennale (2004). He was the recipient of the 2007 Red Dot "Best of the Best" Design Award for his exhibition design for the Museum of Modern Art in Zurich.
