On the 16th of March several Dutch DJ's and one American will perform at the Red Light Radio X ADE Party @ SXSW. From 08:00 until 02:00 PM these fiveDutch DJ's will be spinning the decks and show you a good representation of all that the Dutch electronic music industry has to offer. Located on the 617 Red River Street at PLUSH, these following DJ's will perform:
First in line is the founder of the famous Dutch dance parties at Dekmantel. Known as the master of combining several genres, such as (deep) house, techno, disco and dub together. Throughout his DJ career his taste emerged from techno into primarely deep house coming from the windy city Chicago, and from Detroit.
The second Dutch DJ is originally from Twente and goes by the name of Pascal. His tracks are driven by a deep love for old lo-fi fuelled recordings and he dares to sound like no one else. He made his tribut at Lowlands last year, which is one of the biggest music festivals in the Netherlands, so this certainly is a promising and not to miss DJ.
Red Light Radio co-founders Hugo and Orpheu the Wizard! will bring their rare records from around the world to Austin. As the founders of Red Light Records, they can't be a missed at this party, which finds its roots in New York. Inspired by the East Village Radio Station, they started the Red Light Radio, which is located in the most famous district of Amsterdam. You've probably never heard much of them before, but one thing is for sure: you won't stand still.
Last but not least the only American, Bill Converse, is showing his moves on the decks. Bill Converse resides in Austin Texas, by way of Detroit Michigan. Hardly a new kid on the block, Bill simply has been doing what he loves to for years committing himself to his passion: producing music and djing. Quietly making a name for himself in his local scene he has built a bit of a cult following around him and is the go to dj in Texas when delving into the world of subversive electronics.
