On December 3, 12-4 PM, Noa Haim will present Collective Paper Aesthetics at the Family Day Kick-Off Celebration of the opening of ICA Miami's new home.
On December 1, 2017, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, will open in its new home in the heart of the Miami Design District at 61 NE 41st St. The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) is dedicated to promoting continuous experimentation in contemporary art, and to the exchange of art and ideas throughout the Miami region and internationally. Launched in 2014 and currently located in the landmark Moore Building, ICA Miami will open its new permanent home in Miami’s Design District in 2017. The museum is deeply committed to providing open, public access to artistic excellence by offering year-round free admission.
ICA Miami’s new, permanent home features more than 20,000 square feet of exhibition galleries and a public sculpture garden, enabling the museum to expand its reach and programs. Designed by Aranguren & Gallegos Arquitectos, the new building reflects both the unique cultural landscape of Miami and the museum’s mission of engaging the public with the work of the most innovative local and international artists working today.
ICA Miami and the Miami Design District welcome families and visitors of all ages to a special Family Day Kick-Off Celebration marking the grand opening of ICA Miami’s new permanent home. Guests will enjoy a day of interactive art activities, storytelling sessions, and special performances reflecting the cultures of our community.

12–5pm, All Galleries: Storytelling Session: 15-20 minute stories about contemporary art and exhibitions on view.
12–5pm, Third Floor Learning Center: ICA Narratives: Our Stories Matter: Films written, directed and produced by students at ICA Narratives.
12–5pm, All Galleries: Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Discover the hidden treasures of Miami’s newest art museum.
12–5pm, Sculpture Garden: Giant Coloring Book by artist Alejandra Abad.
5–6pm, Sculpture Garden: Miami Rara Art Parade! by Charo Oquet, inspired by Dominican/Haitian Rara festivals.
1–2pm: F.A.M.E (Future American Music Entertainers) performing popular music by American artists of color
12–4pm: Collective Paper Aesthetics by artist Noa Haim
3–4pm: Pepe Montes Trio performing a set of iconic Cuban
classics and Latin jazz
12–4pm: Food Trucks (food for purchase only).
Noa Haim (Jerusalem, 1975) master of architecture, designer, journalist and contributing editor, based in Rotterdam, where she graduated The Berlage Institute (2004) Thesis title: Vertical Kibbutz. In her work through International architectural firms, she specialized in the field of Mixed-use developments and urban strategies.
Since January 2009 Noa Haim is running her independent multidisciplinary studio working on open-design installations, product design, and architecture. Her first design project Collective Paper Aesthetics was awarded by dezeen.com and tdwa.com to participate in the Environmental container exhibition 2010, Tokyo as well as selected for Shenzhen Hong Kong Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\ Architecture 2011.
