Do you want to know when your favorite DJ will be playing some tracks, or are you curious about new Dutch voices in town? In our #DutchDanceAgenda, we post monthly updates on who is playing when and where, and we highlight different Dutch DJs that are spinning their decks in the US at the moment.
Let's face it: the best party is a Dutch party. As a brand, a passion, and a movement, "Dutch Dance" has dominated the international dance scene for years. Many Dutch DJs have gathered a worldwide following and fly all around the globe to entertain one energetic crowd after the other. Proving that established dance icons and fresh talent do not need to stand in each other’s way, Dutch legends like Tiësto and Hardwell have been taking the new generation underneath their wings.
From underground talent to household names, the Netherlands' party scene has built the reputation for harboring everyone's kind of DJ. However, with so many successful and famous DJs coming from such a small dot on the map, it is almost impossible to keep track of all their performance in the United States. Luckily, we did exactly that, so for the latest updates tune in on our Twitter and Facebook page! Also, be sure to check out our Soundcloud to hear all the latest, Dutch-produced tracks and live-sets.
Even though everybody's eyes are already pointed towards EDC Orlando (read more about EDC here), there are some underground, up-and-coming and superstar DJs featured at Dreamstate Southern California in San Bernardino from November 23rd until 24th! This trance festival creates the full trance experience with dancers and performers on stage, but wouldn't be the same without some of the best Dutch names in Trance on the scene. This year featured Dutch DJs are Estiva, Ferry Corsten, Ruben de Ronde, and Sander van Doorn. Who says you can't party during the Thanksgiving weekend?

Making a rapid and far-reaching impact on the electronic music scene over the course of his double-decade career, it was the move from Ajdin’s war-torn birthplace of Bosnia to a Rotterdam record store in his youth that marked the first stepping stone on his eventual ladder to success. Taking early inspiration from iconic producers such as Masters At Work, Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo, it was his dub mix of Sandy Rivera’s ‘Freak’ on Simon Dunmore’s Defected Records that was championed all over the scene.
By 2007, Ajdin had become one of the most in-demand artists in the business, touring worldwide with a schedule of more than 30 shows per month. A technical wizard on the decks, his obsession with house, techno and multiple sub-genres shone through immediately.

Persistently rocking venues and festival sites, he has further underlined his position as one of Amsterdam’s most reliable and authoritative DJs. Bart’s long-lasting experience as a DJ and his ability to move effortlessly from deep hypnotizing grooves to rolling peak time techno make Skils a sure-fire crowd-mover at any given party.

They hit the electronic music scene in 2016 when San Holo brought them aboard bitbird where the duo released a string of singles through the rest of the year including “zZz” and “Wake the Warrior” establishing themselves as a new force to be reckoned with. The duo’s songwriting and producing continued to mature giving way to another string of hits across different labels such as Lowly Palace and Monstercat.

He remains and has always been ahead-of-his-time, making music that becomes a template for others to follow.

Part of the explosion of Dutch EDM DJs who emerged during the 2012-2013 season, Martin Garrix kicked off his career in a high-profile way, first landing on the dance charts with his 2012 remix of Christina Aguilera's "Your Body." Born Martijn Garritsen, the then-16-year-old DJ spent 2012 remixing Aguilera, signing with Spinnin' Records, and releasing the "BFAM" single in collaboration with Julian Jordan.
In 2013 he released his solo single "Animals," which hit number one in the U.K. and reached the Top Ten in eight other countries. His Gold Skies EP rounded up those tracks, adding two more charting songs: "Tremor" and the title track. Garrix also found time to perform and mix the world over, resulting in being the number 1 DJ in the world today for the third year in a row.
A house party can be the perfect place for creative minds to sync. It happened with Samir and Diego, the Dutch duo better known as Moksi, although it took a few years for them to perfect their kaleidoscopic sound of screaming leads and bassface-perfect subwoofer-loving drops, inspired by a mutual love of late-’90s UK garage.
Highlights of Moksi’s summer 2017 tour include performances at both Lollapalooza Paris and Chicago, DJ Snake flying in by helicopter for an appearance at a Moksi headline gig in Los Angeles and two consecutive weekends of rocking Tomorrowland. They have released over 45 tracks since that fateful beginning. Once they get going, Moksi are never slowing down.
Having already established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in electronic music with his slinky original productions and tight, crisp mixes the man is in demand right now. Recent collaborations and remixes with the likes of Tom Misch, Chaka Khan, and Bondax have enhanced his reputation further and on Spotify he has received in excess of 20 million streams – an incredible number for an independent artist who is yet to release an album.
Announcing himself with a style that owed much to the soulful producers like Pete Rock, J Dilla, and Nujabes, Moods’ early beats quickly began gaining traction online and started building an impressive following after winning favour with several key tastemaker blogs. Before long he attracted the attention of Dutch dance music royalty – Kraak & Smaak and they requested he remix their track ‘Don’t Let People’ on their 2013 release ‘Chrome Waves Remixed’. The mix he turned in impressed them so much he became the first signing to their newly formed imprint ‘Boogie Angst’.
Two years in the making, his debut LP "Zoom Out" sees him collaborate with some exciting global talent recorded between tour dates during sessions at his studio in Rotterdam and his spiritual home of Los Angeles. Sonically it builds on everything that has come before - deep blends of hip-hop, indie, disco and neo-soul influences, but he has developed his sound further and showcases a new focus on songwriting and arrangements to accompany his obvious skills on production. Ahead of the official album release Moods is currently writing new material and creating a live band show for his forthcoming album tour dates.

In between producing and releasing songs, Quintino keeps performing worldwide with an estimate of 250 gigs a year.
Performing and recording under the name R3hab, EDM artist Fadil El Ghoul started his career in 2008 producing the track "Mrkrstft" for Hardwell. He teamed up with Hardwell once again in 2009 on the single "Blue Magic," and worked with Afrojack in 2011 on "Aces High (Prutata)."

As DJ Mag’s trance reviewer in Holland and crowned boss of ‘Sound of Holland’ weekly radio sessions on Afterhours FM and Sirius XM, Ruben hits a nerve within the electronic music industry, also taking a firm stand as host on ‘Tomorrowland Radio’ and ‘Armada Night Radio’.\
While only in his early twenties, Dutchman Sam Feldt has become quite the deep house tastemaker of his day. With amazing remix work as well as solid hits like the early 2015 release ‘Show Me Love’, which proved to be his definite claim to fame, he’s one of the DJs to watch when it comes to a new sound flooding the scene. Sam Feldt is definitely not a stranger to the house music scene. After working behind the scenes as a producer for a long time, perfecting his musical talents, he decides to show the world what he’s capable of by uploading his first tunes by the end of summer ‘13. Within a year Sam signs with Spinnin’ Records and releases his first track on the label.
It doesn’t take long for the young producer to get sensed by international dance media as part of a new exciting wave of melodic deep house. With almost two million plays on SoundCloud and 250.000 plays in one week as well as a #1 Hypem spot for his remix of the Sander van Doorn & Firebeatz release ‘Guitar Track’, Sam established himself in the scene.
Sander van Dijck commonly known by his stage name San Holo, is not just a DJ: As DJ, Singer, Guitar Player and Lyricist, San taught himself to play guitar at an early age. He gained international recognition for his remix of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode", which currently has over 150 million views on YouTube. He has toured the world and has gained a credible reputation in the EDM world. In this next phase of his development, San Holo is taking the inspiration he gathers from bands like Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Ros and very ethereal soundscapes, beautiful melancholic music as he takes a leap with new sounds and music. He is motivated by the fact that he’s never found a way to get that kind of vibe into the EDM music he was producing until half a year ago, when he realized that he could use guitars instead of a synth and still make it into a drop and a buildup.
San has released music on several record labels including Spinnin' Records, OWSLA, Barong Family, and Monstercat. He is also no stranger to the Billboard Dance Charts, as his single “Light” soared to #13 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Chart.
He also founded bitbird, a label which has released several of his singles including "Still Looking" and "Light". San Holo's first EP, Cosmos, was released via Heroic on 18 September 2014 and was in the Top 100 Electronic category of iTunes.
Sander van Doorn entered the musical scene in 1995, aged just sixteen. His brother’s latest gadget at the time, a Roland Groovebox 303, caught his attention. He was astounded when he first experienced the amount of creativity that could be put into making electronic music. Since then, Sander’s heart belonged to music and it still does today.
Sander has created his own inimitable sound and style. He is a producer at heart but started DJing to create exposure for his productions. It’s basically impossible to appoint one specific genre to him; his music gets influenced by a very broad spectrum of factors. He continues to be an immensely prolific and diverse producer, with his own monstrous solo output plus massive collabs helping him to amass millions of plays on YouTube and Spotify. Gold Skies has picked up well over 60 million plays alone, making for one of the biggest hits of his career so far. His A&R skills show no sign of faltering either with his DOORN Records imprint unleashing a steady stream of big names and hot new talents alike.
With three full-length albums, numerous hit-singles, remixes of the world’s biggest artists, sold-out gigs in all major venues and festivals worldwide, his own successful record label and a weekly radio show named Identity, Sander van Doorn continues his musical journey into the heart of fans around the world.
The Nijmegen/Amsterdam based producer knows how to incorporate musical influences from all over the world. The love for organic music has always been running through in his blood. The young Djordje Petrovic already explored the Jazz, Afrobeat, Balkan and World Music. For Satori it was never a matter of experiment. Raised by a Serbian father and a South African mother and his sister, a singer-song writer, as his first musical teacher, it was only logical that the Balkan- , Afrobeats- and Indie-influences, would forever nest themselves in his musical DNA.
He started experimenting with melodies, when he was 18 he also taught himself how to play the piano. Without any experience within bands or any musical training, he composed his first songs on his own.
Satori is known for setting up his own party concepts often at secret locations and warehouses, giving his audience the full techno-rave experience (also in the US)!
Hailing from the dance capital of the world, Amsterdam, the Dutch team of Jeroen Kerstens and Steven Berghuijs formed their partnership in 2015 when they teamed up with melodic house mastermind Sam Feldt for their breakout collaboration “Midnight Hearts,” of which has amassed over 17 million streams to date.
Shortly after, the Him launched their own mix series, Midnight Mixtapes, to paint an auditory picture of what their project’s style and sound was like. Following their first collaboration with Feldt, the Him teamed up with their compatriot on another original called “Drive You Home.”
After a number of bootleg remixes of Robin Schulz, Maroon 5, and Mumford & Sons that further solidified their stance in the SoundCloud world, The Him turned the attention to their first solo production, “Feels Like Home.” Quickly amassing 12 million streams on SoundCloud alone and hitting #1 on SoundCloud’s Deep House Charts in the first six months of the record’s release, “Feels Like Home” marked a massive milestone for the duo and paid an integral role in catapulting The Him into the spotlight. The track attracted major press looks from leading dance outlets like Dancing Astronaut, Your EDM, DJ Mag NL, MrSuicideSheep, Chill Nation, and more.
Highly regarded by both DJ Magazine and fans of electronic dance music, Tiësto launched his career as one of the world's foremost trance DJs, due in part to his legendary six-hour live sets, and went on to embrace a more pop-oriented EDM approach. The fifth Tiësto studio album, A Town Called Paradise, appeared in 2014 on Casablanca. It featured the most pop-oriented productions of his career and a slew of guest vocalists who included Ladyhawke and Icona Pop. Tiësto appeared on DJ Mag Top 100 2016 as number 5.

Vicetone, a Groningen-based duo consisting of Ruben den Boer and Victor Pool, has had a big presence in the US over the last couple of years, maybe even bigger than in their country of origin. After quickly coming up with Monstercat as progressive house producers, the duo entered the DJ Mag Top 100 in 2013 on place 60. After signing with Spinnin' Records the duo had several hits with remixes of Adele, Calvin Harris, and Maroon 5, and also released a song with Nicky Romero. They have played at Ultra Music Festival and are still taking the US by storm.
Yellow Claw may not be a household name outside of the Netherlands but have a look at their YouTube channel and you’ll be hard-pressed to find one of their singles with less than 2,000,000 views. They take the newest sounds from the club and drive them off a cliff.
Hailing from Amsterdam, the trio first exploded into the scene after founding the Yellow Claw Thursday night party at the Jimmy Woo, which quickly gained a reputation as being one of the wildest and most unique parties in the city. The gang recently released their new album, "New Blood", you'll be sure to hear it at their shows!
