Theatre company Wunderbaum investigates the healthcare system

Walker Art Center
1750 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403, USA

Two groundbreaking theater companies—Skid Row performance group Los Angeles Poverty Department (LAPD) and Netherlands-based collective Wunderbaum—confront the realities of contemporary healthcare in a raucous and engrossing “ficto-mentary” of love, life, money and death. The performance 'Hospital' draws on the clichés of serialized medical dramas, as well as real-life encounters with patients, doctors, healthcare professionals and reformers in both the U.S. and the Netherlands. 'Hospital' shrewdly sends-up a genre creating an hallucinatory exposé of free market healthcare and seeking alternatives for its future.

'Hospital' will be performed on the following dates:

January 9-10, at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis
January 17-18, at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, Darmouth
