Maartje Dijkstra and Rafaël Rozendaal are part of CODAME Art + Tech in Sillicon Valley

Dutch visual artists Maartje Dijkstra, and Rafaël Rozendaal are part of CODAME Art + Tech in Silicon Valley. Codame  is a nonprofit organization, organizing events and projects, embracing innovation through creativity, play, and collaboration between artists and technologists, founded in San Francisco. They build immersive, engaging, out of the ordinary experiences by engaging with artists, coders, designers, game developers, creators, performers, and musicians. Codame celebrates creativity by curating magic-inspiring experiences that combine art with technology, being inspired by entrepreneurs, innovators, startups and companies, creating an environment of interactive inspiration. Dijkstra and Rozendaal are part of the community, consisting of more than 200 artists and tech developers.

Rafaël Rozendaal (1980) is a Dutch-Brazilian visual artist living and working in New York. He uses the internet as his canvas. His websites attract a large audience of over 40 million unique visits per year. His artistic practice consists of websites, installations, lenticulars, lectures and haiku.

Maartje Dijkstra is a Dutch fashion designer based in Rotterdam. She studied at ARTEZ Arnhem, where she graduated in Fashion Design in 2006. After interning for Alexander McQueen in London, where her interests in High fashion developed, she started her own couture label. She designs and creates individualistic, sculptural, progressive, hand-crafted fashion collections, accessories, and illustrations. Her designs are futuristic, handcrafted, and unique. Imagination, electronic music, progress, and individuality are big sources of inspiration to her. Apart from showing her pieces on the runway, she is very much focused on combining fashion with technology, which connect very well within her work.
