Paul Laster reviews Sebastiaan Bremer‘s solo at Edwynn Houk, NYC for Arts Holland.
Blurring the boundary between photography and painting, Sebastiaan Bremer makes unique, hybrid works that mix the two creative mediums in highly imaginative ways. The Dutch artist, who was born in Amsterdam in 1970 and has lived and worked in Brooklyn since in 1992, is best known for his paint-altered photographs of family and friends that he’s exhibited in some 30 solo shows at international galleries and museums over the past 20 years.
