Dutch illustrator Clemens Den Exter‘s unique take on the film poster of The Wolf of Wall Street has gone viral. The producer called to order the poster for Leonardo DiCaprio himself, and also The New York Times has shown interest in the quirky ad.

The poster was designed for the Rotterdam Filmfestival, after which social media picked up on the image. Den Exter is completely taken by surprise, but assumes the success of his poster is due to the fact that most filmposters nowadays look very much alike; “But mine is slightly different”.

Den Exter works for The Mill, a large design and animation office in New York. He graduated last year from the Willem de Kooning Academy in The Hague and is only 22 years old.
