Basel-born VOLTA Art Fair returns to New York to present over 50 national and international galleries at its 2023 New York edition at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Dutch galleries Livingstone Gallery, NL=US Gallery, and O-68 will participate. Read more here.
Livingstone gallery was established in 1991 and focuses on contemporary painting, drawing and sculpture of international significance. Exhibitions included James Brown, Jannis Kounellis, Sol LeWitt, Arnulf Rainer and the last exhibition of Robert Rauschenberg. An important priority is the discovery and advancement of young artists such as Raquel Maulwurf (E/NL), Ruri Matsumoto (J/D), Roger Wardin (D), Aaron van Erp (NL/PY) and Jan Wattjes (NL).
NL=US started in 2014 as an art consultancy after its founder lived in the United States for many years. They wanted to make their own cultural connections by bringing Dutch artists to the US market. Since then, the consultancy has grown into a gallery that represents both Dutch and American artists and we collaborate with artists from around the world. The main focus of NL=US Art is to establish a platform for these artists in a global environment. Exhibiting artists include Kirsten Hutsch, Willem Besseling and Lily de Bont.
Art Gallery O-68 is a gallery for contemporary art, which offers space to young and established (inter)national artists with. The gallery started in 2011, organizes an average of 6 exhibitions and takes part of 4 (inter)national art fairs per year, now for the first time at VOLTA New York. The choice of works is explicitly based on the quality of contemporary art in the broad sense, not a specific technique or movement. Wieteke Heldens, ‘International O-68 Award for Visual Artists’ winner, is the exhibiting artist.
