In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) is pleased to announce an archival presentation highlighting the organization’s global reach and ongoing support of contemporary artists and curators. The exhibition Storage to Showcase: Selections from the ISCP Archives will run from July 16 until August 23, 2024, with an opening reception on Tuesday, July 16, from 6-8 PM.
Ranging from 1994 to the present, the selections capture three different locations where ISCP has hosted over 2,000 residents from more than 100 countries, including more than 60 from The Netherlands. Printed and projected images show meetings between ISCP residents and visiting critics, many of whom have become leading figures in the New York and international art scenes. Through the display of Open Studios guides and postcards, photographic slides and contact sheets, global press coverage, and other enticing ephemera, viewers are invited to immerse themselves in the institution’s rich legacy. ISCP has fostered a supportive and mutually respectful community within an international landscape that is often divided, leading to valuable cultural exchange within New York City.
Storage to Showcase: Selections from the ISCP Archives is organized by Annabel Newman, Executive Intern, with the assistance of Louis Pardo, Programs and Exhibitions Intern.
