From December 1 until 6, Amstel Gallery is present at CONTEXT Art Miami with work of a.o. Dutch artists Renee van Leusden and Mart Visser.
Renee van Leusden sculpts life. Her works show a deep personal involvement and interest in people and does not simply portray emotions, but embodies them, making her work current and universal.
Next to being a fashion designer, Mart Visser is also an artist. He has been drawing heads ever since he was able to hold a pencil, and has always been fascinated by facial expressions and inspired by the people he meets on a daily basis.
CONTEXT Art Miami is the sister fair to Art Miami and is dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists. Launched in 2012, CONTEXT Art Miami’s open atmosphere creates a meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform for the presentation of mid-career, emergent and cutting-edge talent by emerging and established galleries. Ninety-five international galleries, vetted by the CONTEXT Art Miami Selection Committee, exhibit highlights from their gallery programs, solo artist exhibitions and curated projects. The combined efforts of CONTEXT Art Miami and Art Miami provide a unique and alternative opportunity for leading primary dealers and their artists to be marketed and promoted internationally during the most important week for contemporary art in America.
Amstel Gallery features established and emerging artists from the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, and the US. The gallery participates in many international art fairs and, in addition to their own regular exhibition schedule, hosts and organizes special exhibitions and events in combination with other venues. Amstel Gallery offers high-end contemporary art that is accessible, affordable, and defined by versatility.
