New York City & Water: A Historical Perspective
The Gotham Center presents, in collaboration with the New Amsterdam History Center, a discussion of the past and future of water management issues in New York City with the historian Russell Shorto (on the Dutch as pioneers), the painter Len Tantillo (on the importance of the Netherlands’ river systems), historian Gerard Koeppel about water in New Amsterdam, and Henk Ovink, Special Envoy for International Water Affairs for the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
