The McCormick Gallery at Boston Architectural College is pleased to present the exhibition “Dudley Square: A Community’s Catalyst,” which includes the newly built Dudley Square Municipal Center by Francine Houben of Mecanoo Architecten and Sasaki Associates.

Dudley Square is the geographic center of Boston. It is a transportation hub and the gateway to a major metropolis. It is a unique place with rich history. But the true essence of Dudley Square is found within the vibrant Roxbury community that surrounds it.

In the middle of all this is a new building, rising from the foundations of what once was a thriving commercial node. This is the story of how the promise of a building to enliven Dudley Square inspired those who shaped it-the city, the designers, and the community. The Dudley Square Municipal Office Facility signals a new era. This building is the community’s catalyst.

A panel discussion on the unique intricacies of the Dudley Square Municipal Office Facility featuring Kairos Shen (Boston Redevelopment Authority), Maureen Anderson (Property and Construction Management Department), Nick Brooks (Sasaki Associates), and Ted Landsmark (Boston Architectural College).  Thursday, October 10, 8:30 am; BAC (breakfast at 8:00)
