Between October 15-29, 2020,the 8th edition of the Chelsea Film Festival will be taking place in the virtual space and two Dutch filmmakers will be featured in the shorts and documentary categories. Synopsis: In recent years, Fentanyl has caused a rather silent epidemic in the United States. Filmmaker Ilja Willems and her crew spent a week in an Ohio morgue, filming the comprehensive consequences of the opioid crisis with Cincinnati’s female coroner Lakshmi Sammarco. While the dead were all unknown to Sammarco not so long ago, more and more familiar faces end up on her table.

It empowers the work of risk-taking storytellers and remains committed to its mission to discover and develop independent artists and audiences around the world. The Chelsea Film Festival is an event consisting of four days of screenings of independent shorts, feature-lengths and documentaries from emerging directors.
