“The 23rd annual Sonoma International Film Festival will be held March 25-29, 2020. SIFF showcases independent films, documentaries, shorts and world cinema. In 2019 the festival attracted over 240 filmmakers (screening 115 films from 28 countries) and over 4,000 attendees from California, New York, Chicago and a half dozen Countries.” The festival has been named unique for being one of the top ten destination film festivals in the country with our inviting blend of film, food and wine. They give back to the community with our dedication to supporting student education programs in Sonoma Valley High Schools, Middle schools and the Boys & Girls Club.
On of the films screened this year is “The Conductor,” which was directed by Maria Peter, who will be in attendance! The plot of the film is the story of Antonia Brico dreams of becoming a conductor in 1926, “but the circuitous route to become the first woman to conduct a symphony orchestra takes its toll as both personal and professional pressures threaten to overwhelm her.”
