From September 6 until September 28, 2019, the exhibition “BOOM” with works by Jan Pieter Fokkens will be on show in the Gallery Victor Armendariz.
About the artist
In his artwork, Jan Pieter Fokkens (1979, Dokkum, The Netherlands) explores the inconceivable: explosions, far away galaxies and images of war. In recreating the image dot by dot and line by line he provides a deeper understanding of the world around us. The result is provocative, exciting, and beautiful. Jan Pieter Fokkens received an M.F.A. from the Burren College of Art National University of Ireland Galway and a B.F.A. from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, The Netherlands. He lives and works in Chicago.
