From March 18 until March 21, psychedelic rock band PAUW will perform at several venues throughout the United States. Starting off at the star-studded South By Southwest Festival (SXSW) in Austin, TX, the group will continue to bring their 60s and 70s inspired rock to the East Coast. With a savage drummer, a bombastic bassist, a mesmerizing keyboardist and a charismatic guitarist with dreamy vocals, PAUW will take you on a magical and unforgettable trip that will remain with many for a long time.
In 2014, the Netherlands was quickly introduced to psychedelic rock band PAUW. With just a few home recorded demo’s, the band took part in the travelling festival “Popronde,” and became the most demanded band in the festival’s history. While being in the spotlight, they also managed to record their debut EP, which was very positively received by critics around the country.
The band has been building a strong reputation by playing at some of their homecountry’s leading festivals, like Noorderslag, Where The Wild Things Are, en London Calling. Meanwhile, promoters outside the Netherlands have started to discover PAUW as well, and the band performed at Liverpool Psych Fest in the UK, VOID fest in Germany and Celebration Day in France. On top of it all, the four friends have completed their first clubtour this fall, released their first album “Macrocosm Microcosm” in October, and are now heading for the United States to take their unique sound overseas.
