“Green Emotion: Dutch Floristry at the Floriade” is a compilation of floral designs shown at the most recent Floriade.
The Floriade is a world horticultural expo organized in the Netherlands every 10 years. The book “Green Emotion: Dutch Floristry at the Floriade,” published by Stichting Kunstboek and distributed by ACC Dsitribution, is a compilation of the beautiful floral designs shown at the most recent Floriade that took place in 2012 in Venlo.
The sixth FLoriade, from April 5 until October 7, was held in Venlo. The Floriade Park was 66 hectares in size and consisted of 5 unique themed worlds: Relax & Heal, Green Engine, Education & Innovation, Environment, and World Show Stage. Each world had its own décor, program, and activities.
The central theme of the Floriade was “Green Emotion,” based on the idea that flowers and plants have the power to convey emotions, to bring atmosphere to homes, and happiness to lives. Part of this “Green Emotion” was a daily changing exposition of large floral installations on mobile platforms created with seasonal plants and flowers.
The book “Green Emotion: Dutch Floristry at the Floriade” is a compilation of these original designs and of the other most astonishing designs shown.
