Hardo Big Banker Book Launch

By Hardo & Co

Sat, Oct 19 - Sat, Oct 19  2019

On Saturday, October 19th, 2019 Hardo Big Banker Book Launch will take place. It is a satirical finance-themed illustrated book. The book launch celebrates the release of a satirical Where-Is-Waldo-style luxury book full of intelligent illustrations about the world of haute finance.

More than 200 young investment bankers and haute finance enthusiasts will be a part of the Where is Hardo? book launch on the afternoon of October 19th in a NYC Chelsea loft. The book, an intelligent and satirical illustration book combining Liar’s Poker and Where is Waldo?, represents the epitome of luxury in print and celebrates today’s fi(h)nance culture.

The book is created by a Dutch author writing under a pseudonym, and contains rich illustrations on things bankers are all too familiar with: an intricate 3D Excel model, the lure of partying with the Wolf of Wall Street, and lavish dinners at Dorsia, among others.

Early fans rave about the Where is Hardo? artwork, some saying it ‘brings a sense of Banksy to the world of investment banking’, and others commenting positively on the self-deprecating humor in the book, saying it actually makes them feel more connected to their profession: ‘It makes me feel good to be a banker’.

With copies of the limited edition of 500 hand bound books still available (the ‘500’ following a play on Elon Musk’s ‘taking Tesla private at 420 per share’ and a banking joke by the author reserving the right of exercising a greenshoe option), first books have – next to New York, Chicago, LA, Toronto and European financial capitals – already been shipped to countries all over the world, including Peru, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Australia.

Boilerplate: FRJRF is a new addition to the list of authors in the finance literature space, with this book being his first. Having always been connected to working around the deal cycle, the Dutch author has written this book for his sheer love of the overall haute finance space.

You can register here.

Tickets bought before Wednesday, October 14th get the chance to win one of the 3 $390 prints by Hardo!
