Program

11:00 am EDT – Zoom room opens

11:30 am EDT – “INSPIRATION: autumn / winter 2022-23” presented live by Li Edelkoort
While entering this new chapter in history, we revisit the art heroes and heroines of our recent past. Inspired by the essence of their creative spirit, we can learn from their philosophy as much from their aesthetics. Somehow these artists all fit snugly again into our expectations and willingness to change in the coming years. Now, the vitality of these role models will set a new tone for the years to come. Therefore, fashions will be unsettled, fabrics will be overhauled, cooked, pummeled and coated, and style will be independent, with the great return of styling. We have much to learn from outsider designers, innovative colors, streetwise combinations and fluid practices, mixing together all genders, ages and races, with special reverence for indigenous expression.

12:30 pm EDT – “ANIMISM: Fashion” presented live by Li Edelkoort
The impact of our first design forecast on the subject of Animism was so strong that it moved us to consider the same sources of inspiration for fashion. The result is breathtaking and ground-breaking, shifting the buying of garments from an act of consumption to an act of curation, aiming for precise choices that become objects infused with energy and camaraderie; clothes that are like friends. These items are timeless and ageless, and will be wise investments for the long run. This presentation is therefore the next in a series of season-less concepts, where clothes are disconnected from trends and marketing, looking for an alternative, deeper meaning. Taking care of the planet and people, giving hope for the future. All the clothes have their own identities and can motivate the realization of a small collection, delivering made-to-pleasure choices. The smaller and more concise, the better the message of your intentions will be. Enjoy this new pathway to creativity!
