THE NEWS is a multimedia reality opera with music from Dutch composer Jacob Ter Veldhuis and performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, on April 17 and 18 at 7 pm.

THE NEWS is a multimedia reality opera that transforms current events, political rhetoric, and the media into operatic hyper-drama. Crafted from news broadcasts and set to music by the brilliant composer Jacob Ter Veldhuis (JacobTV).The avant-pop music by brilliant Dutch composer JacobTV is a blend of classical, world, blues, jazz and rock. The opera receives its New York premiere with Fulcrum New Music Project (Stephen Burns, Artistic Director), featuring vocalists Nora Fischer and Loire.
