Monday, October 19, 7:00 PM, Dutch musical collective Nieuw Amsterdams Peil (NAP) will perform at Le Poisson Rouge.
Nieuw Amsterdams Peil, started in 2005 by Heleen Hulst and Gerard Bouwhuis, is a group of several like-minded musicians who explore the diversity and richness of chamber music by composers of widely divergent musical trends, with a particular emphasis on the 20th-21st century repertoire, while also shedding light on composers and their sources of inspiration, or – in a wider focus – by defining their place within the context of music history.
(Le) Poisson Rouge is a multimedia art cabaret founded by musicians on the site of the historic Village Gate. Dedicated to the fusion of popular and art cultures in music, film, theater, dance, and fine art, the venue’s mission is to revive the symbiotic relationship between art and revelry; to establish a creative asylum for both artists and audiences.
