Sat, Jan 12 - Fri, Mar 1  2019

_T_he Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention announced that it commissioned renowned Dutch artist Noa Haim to bring the internationally-acclaimed Collective Paper Aesthetics Project to Gainesville, Florida. The Cade museum will join other venerable institutions that have commissioned the Paper Aesthetics Project, including the Tate Modern in London, National Gallery Singapore, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, and Louvre Abu Dhabi.

On January 12th, and beyond, the Cade invites visitors of all ages to create and personalize their own foldable, 3D geometric, polyhedron structures in the main museum gallery. Through the PolyCade Project, visitors will experience the vital role that Polyhedron play in nature, science, engineering, math, architecture, art, and design, and once individual structures are created, they can be interlocked to form much larger architectural structures that will celebrate the collective creativity of our entire community.

The PolyCade Project was inspired by the architecture of the Cade Museum that is based on The Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Spiral, which have impacted art and design for centuries (including the work of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and many others?) Learn more about the PolyCade Project and its accompanying programs and events at cademuseum.org/polycade. In addition to exclusive PolyCade museum activities, the Cade Museum will utilize its unique iteration of the Collective Paper Aesthetics Project to exciteand engage students from schools across the community, bringing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning to life through a unique hands-on approach that encourages individual creativity and collaboration on a broader scale.
