On November 5 (8:00 PM), Dutch vocalist Paulien performs ‘From Piaf to Porter’ at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. Paulien is building a following in the United States as a French chanteuse. Backed by a quartet of skilled jazz musicians, her unique stylings serve to highlight the French influence on the American Songbook. The critically acclaimed show, titled From Piaf to Porter, contains old and contemporary tunes that have become popular on both sides of the ocean, songs that cross generations and continue to appeal to a large audience.
