About Priveekollektie | The House of Contemporary Art & Design

Priveekollektie Contemporary Art / Design is a contemporary art and design gallery based in Heusden, the Netherlands. Prior to opening the gallery in 2006, the owners Irving and Miriam van Dijk were art and design collectors themselves. Currently, internationally recognized artists, designers, as well as young talents are represented by the gallery. Well-acknowledged figures in the art and design world such as Miguel Chevalier, Rolf Sachs, Nigel Coates, and Dominic Harris have works represented by the gallery. At this year’s Salon Art + Design, the gallery features work by Dutch artists Reinier Bosch and Royal Tichelaar Makkum

Reinier Bosch

Reinier Bosch (1980 Groningen, The Netherlands) is a young and upcoming designer inspired by photographic reality both in his native Netherlands and abroad. His works are layered, in the composition and arrangement of materials as well as in the stories they tell. The use of common materials and a reference to everyday life is characteristic of his work.

Royal Tichelaar Makkum

Koninklijke Tichelaar B.V.  (Royal Tichelaar, est. 1572) is the oldest company in the Netherlands and has worldwide recognition in the field of ceramics. Over the centuries the company has accumulated a priceless reservoir of knowledge and skill. The proven durable properties of ceramic and its timeless beauty adds cultural value to Tichelaar’s products making them more relevant than ever. These qualities have a great attraction for contemporary architects, artists and designers, and with them Tichelaar seeks out possible new uses and areas of application. In addition to this customised work, Tichelaar is also developing a expanding range of its own ceramic products for the building industry, particularly façade cladding and interior applications. In addition to this we continue to produce our renowned traditional decorative earthenware and tiles on request. A number of pieces by contemporary designers in the design collection have become icons in the history of Dutch design.

About The Salon Art +Design

The Salon is the only international fair of this caliber to combine styles, genres, and periods cutting a universal and timeless swath. Other fairs allow art, but no design or conversely design without art. The willingness to consider all material—historic to contemporary—is based on the belief that today’s designers and collectors insist on a vibrant mix—as long as the quality is impeccable.
