For its fifth year celebrating talent, Rambler Studios is proud to be hosting another Summer Program in collaboration with Henry Street Settlement at Abrons Arts Center in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The Summer Program 2024 started on Monday, July 8, and will run until August 14. Over a transformative six weeks, 11 talented Rambler designers are boosting their skills and bringing their inspirational visions to life. The six-week program will conclude with a spectacular fashion show on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Rambler Studios, supporting young talent since 2010, offers a platform and a place for young talented people—“Ramblers”–to design their own lives through street fashion.

Rambler Studios, a youth fashion-design program based in Amsterdam with studios in Berlin and NYC, has collaborated with Henry Street Settlement to unleash the talent and creativity of low-income youth through fashion design. The Rambler fashion design students learn about working in a professional studio while gaining the self-esteem that comes from seeing their designs turned into clothing styles, and earning income from the sale of their work in venues such as studio stores, pop-up shops and online. The Rambler Collective NYC launched last February with a first booth at the Artists & Fleas market in Williamsburg, where the design of all the young talents were sold.

“Nothing New”

The Rambler NYC Summer designers of 2024 show you their fashion ideas made out of nothing new, based on their inspired visions from Harlem NYC street art, the imagination of dreamers, pinky dolly with gyaru and himegal influences, layered mystery stories, NYC fashion styles from the Lower East Side, celebration of inclusive female empowerment, self acceptance reflected in punky looks, the ethereal beauty of nature, embracing imperfection in material and style, a modern spin on early 2000s Latina culture fashion, to be a bold and daring experience on the catwalk.
