Under the baton of Chief Conductor Lahav Shani, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra performs in Florida, New York and Washington D.C.! The concerts begin with the lush, enchanting minimalism of Arvo Pärt’s Swansong, whose long, soaring harmonies suggest its origins as choral music. The world-renowned and Grammy award winning pianist Daniil Trifonov joins in Mozart’s Ninth Piano Concerto, “Jeunehomme,” often considered the composer’s first true masterpiece. The concert concludes with selections from Prokofiev’s timeless Romeo and Juliet.
