The second CineCina Film Festival (CCFF), the renowned New York-based film festival dedicated to promoting excellent international films, will open in Manhattan, from October 25 to November 3, 2019.
This fall, CineCina Film Festival expands its scope to showcase some of the latest films from countries whose national cinema was historically under-appreciated by mainstream American audiences. 10 films will be included in Main Slate and 5 films will be screened to form a Special Screening section. Main Slate films are juried by a panel of 5 renowned filmmakers, scholars, and critics around the world.
The Road will screen the Dutch movie Take Me Somewhere Nice by Ena Sendijarević on Oct 30th. Take Me Somewhere Nice is about a Dutch girl of Bosnian descent who travels to Bosnia to visit her sick father. It will be the first time they will see each other.
