Please join founders Claire Fleury and Alesia Exum to celebrate with a performance by Shane Shane, the launch of Alesia Exum’s first fashion video featuring Leo Gugu wearing Claire Fleury’s designs, and a sample sale of Claire Fleury Atelier NYC!
Strange Loop Gallery is a Lower East Side Gallery created and run by Alesia Exum and Claire Fleury. Claire Fleury, originally from Amsterdam, lives and works in New York. She has worked as a dancer, actress, independent theater director and playwright, leading her own theatre company in the Netherlands for 11 years, and now curator and fashion designer. With this mix of backgrounds, she brings a vast collection of ideas visions and skills to apply to the ever changing space called Strange Loop Gallery, which she co-founded, designs and curates with her partner Alesia Exum. Alesia Exum is a New York based artist. Her working method is interdisciplinary and recent projects take the form of photographic, text, lighting installations, super 8 film, sound sculptures, curating and collaborating.Her photographs have been published in numerous magazines, including the New York Times, Newsweek, Time, US News & World Report, New York, Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Exit, PDN. She is creative director and co-founder of Strange Loop Gallery, New York City. Together Claire Fleury and Alesia Exum form the artistic team of Strange Loop Gallery.
