In March, Studio Drift will present their new installation “Ego” at Pace Gallery.
“Ego is a time-based Kinetic sculpture embodying the perspectives of a human.” With the work, Drift tries to show how man-made systems are often inflexible, but still can become fluid or even collapse. The installation consists of a “massive woven block, made of more than 16km of hair-thin Japanese fluorocarbon, controlled by motors, allowing the artists to animate and choreograph it.”
