Teun Voeten book launch at the Carlton Arms Hotel

On Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 7:00 PM, anthropologist and war photographer Teun Voeten will launch his latest photo book New York. From Top to Bottom at the Carlton Arms Hotel, 160 East 25th Street, New York City.

Since 1987, Voeten has been a New York resident on and off. This book features his very early documentary work from Harlem, the South-Bronx and Coney Island. But the center stage is for his architectural photos of Manhattan and Brooklyn cityscapes and skyscrapers. In 1989 he started this series on black and white film with his medium format technical camera. And up to this day, he continues this series the same way.

Teun Voeten (www.teunvoeten.com) has written books on the underground homeless in New York, the civil war in Sierra Leone and the Mexican Drug Violence.
