About the artist
Dutch artist Theo Jansen is famous for his inventive ‘Strandbeests’, which are skeletons made from yellow plastic tubes. These Strandbeest sculptures are powered by the wind, which makes them able to move and walk.

After “The Wild”: Contemporary Art from The Barnett and Annalee Newman Foundation Collection highlights works by 47 intergenerational and internationally-based artists made between 1963 – 2023.
