The US Premier of the 4th symphony of Dutch composer and conducter Johan de Meij will take place on October 20th in the Monroe Woodbury HS Auditorium NY.
The trombone soloist Joe Alessi (principal trombone of the NY Philharmonic) is also performing with John Mackey’s Harvest Concerto.
Johan de Meij (Voorburg, 1953) studied trombone and conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague. He has earned international fame as a composer and arranger. His catalogue consists of original compositions, symphonic transcriptions and arrangements of film scores and musicals.
