Famous Dutch fashion designer duo Viktor & Rolf have partnered with Visionaire to enable New Yorkers to enjoy an immersive and interactive installation and short film at Cadillac House. The Viktor&Rolf Masterclass exhibition features creative photo ops where the public can place their heads inside of life-size cutouts of Viktor&Rolf’s famous fashion designs on the runway. The exhibition also contains a short film which presents Viktor & Rolf’s most iconic looks and works such as ‘Atomic Bomb’ (1998), ‘One Woman Show’ (2003), ‘Bedtime Story’ (2005), ’NO’ (2008) and ‘Cutting Edge Couture’ (2010).
Dutch artists and Fashion Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren founded the avant-garde fashion house Viktor&Rolf in 1993. For well over 25 years, Viktor&Rolf have challenged conventional fashion standards and created both haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion collections that are inspired by the thin line between arts and fashion. Their provocative, renewing, and revolutionary designs have gained them international acclaim and praise in the world of fashion and design. Viktor&Rolf’s innovative designs have been featured in fashion shows and exhibitions all over the world.
Visionaire was founded in 1991, and have since provided a platform and opportunity to conceptualize and realize art installations, experiences, and products in public spaces. Visionaire is a large community and platform that has proven crucial to stimulate innovative creativity in the field of contemporary art and culture.
The Viktor&Rolf Masterclass exhibition will run from September 4th until November 4th, 2018.
